Break Your Duck

Agatha had never understood the expression 'More nervous than a hooker at a Sunday bake sale', until now. Agatha was being led into Heath's childhood home, Brockston Manor. In this situation she was the hooker and Brockston Manor was the Sunday bake sale. She was reminded of the phone call she had had the pleasure of having with his father only a few weeks prior to this visit, and that phone call hadn't gone well at all. Her stomach was in nervous knots.

She took off her designer sunglasses as they entered the massive home. The opulence of it all took Agatha's breath away. It was beautiful. French Colonial at it's finest. She had no real family, and never really had a home. Her mother and father had lost her to the system when she was only four years old. She had been raised in a loving foster home until she graduated high school at the age of sixteen. Upon her graduation she got accepted into music school on a full academic scholarship. She had kept in touch with Mrs. Stark, her foster-mother, from time to time but had been independent and alone since leaving high school. She had always felt she was never good enough because the people in her life never stayed around to tell her she was. Now, her life was drastically changing and the deposit of one-hundred thousand dollars into her savings account yesterday proved that they were changing for the better.

She had been petrified on the drive here. She looked the part of Heath's fiance', or so she hoped. Today, she was wore a Champagne colored faux mink that revealed a cream deep plunging top underneath it.Her tailored blue jeans and cream suede designer boots gave her a chic, yet casual feel. She just hoped she could remember all the pertinent information about her 'fiance' when questioned by his father.

Heath thought Agatha looked beautiful today. He loved seeing her with her hair down. Her skin looking sun kissed and radiant. He could tell she was wearing a minimal amount of makeup and he marveled at how he hadn't noticed her natural beauty before their encounter at the cafe. She was stunning. She flashed him a nervous smile and he felt his groin stir. She was driving him crazy and didn't even know it. The last seventy-two hours in his home had been complete torture for him. If she was any other woman he would be sleeping with her by now, but it wasn't some other woman, it was sweet, shy, beautiful Agatha. He had no idea what it was about her, but he felt himself going out of his way to make her day pleasant and to see that radiant smile of hers. At night he found himself sneaking into his room just to watch her sleep. She looked so serene, like an angel. He didn't want to admit his feelings were getting more and more invested, but when he walked her into his childhood home he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride with her on his arm.
